ExtraSpace Storage – Riverhead, NY

• This project delivered a two-story, self-storage facility totaling 72,500 square feet with 510 individual storage units.
• Site access and circulation are supported by one automatic vertical pivot gate, three automatic sliding doors serving the loading areas, and two single-car hydraulic MRL elevators, with two stair towers providing secondary egress.
• The building includes a main office with an attached break room and a storage/IT room, two bathrooms, a janitorial closet with a floor sink, a dedicated fire sprinkler room, and an electrical/BDA room.
• Life safety and security systems consist of combined wet and dry fire sprinkler systems, fire alarm, and security systems throughout.
• The roof assembly is steel deck with rigid insulation and a TPO membrane, paired with a roof drain system incorporating scupper overflows.
• Exterior finishes combine split-face block, EIFS, glazed faux windows, and glazed storefront glazing surrounding the office and display area above, providing a durable, presentable street-facing façade.
